Edward Norton began his acting career on stage, breaking through with his 1993 involvement in Fragments in New York City. He landing his first movie role in 1996′s Primal Fear which earned him an Oscar nomination.
In 1998, Edward added 30 pounds of muscle and transformed his look into that of a skinhead for his role as a neo-Nazi in American History X (1998). His performance in the movie earned him his second Oscar nomination. In 1999, he starred in David Fincher’s Fight Club, alongside Brad Pitt. The film became a cult hit, and catapulted Norton’s career.
Keeping the Faith (2000), a romantic comedy featuring Ben Stiller and Jenna Elfman marked Norton’s directing and producing debut.
