Kenny Anderson broke
Anderson filed for bankruptcy shortly after he retired in 2005.
Anderson went broke because of foolish expenses: He had eight cars in the garage of his Beverly Hills home. He gave himself a monthly allowance of $10,000 that he dubbed “hanging out money.” He often gave out thousands of dollars to his friends and relatives.
Anderson also lost a big chuck of his fortune when his wife, Tami Roman, divorced him. She successfully challenged the 1995 $5.8 million pre-nup. As a result she reportedly received half of his assets. In addition, Anderson had to pay $8,500 a month in child support. Tami had a license plate custom-made to mark her victory with the phrase “HISCASH”.
