After leaving university, Liam Neeson worked a few odd jobs, from a truck driver to a fork-lift operator at Guinness. In 1976, he joined the Belfast Lyric Players’ Theater and made his professional acting debut in the play “The Risen People”.
After two years, Neeson moved to Dublin’s Abbey Theater where he performed the classics. It was here that he was spotted by director John Boorman and was cast in the fantasy film Excalibur (1981). After that, he appeared in several average movies until he gain attention for his part in Suspect (1987).
In 1990, Neeson played the lead in the action film Darkman, which brought his name to public attention.
In 1993, Liam starred in Steven Spielberg’s Schindler’s List. His performance garnered Golden Globe and Academy Award nomination.
Since then, Neeson career continued to grow appearing in several blockbuster films including, George Lucas’ Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins (2005), Taken (2008), The A-Team (2010) and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).
