In 2003, Game signed with Dr. Dre’s record label Aftermath Entertainment. He rose to fame with his debut album, The Documentary (2005), which went double-platinum. He later left Aftermath Entertainment and signed with Geffen Records, where he released his second album, Doctor’s Advocate (2006). The album sold over 358,000 copies in its first week.
His next album, LAX (2006), debuted at number two on the US Billboard 200 chart, and sold over 238,000 copies in its first week. With his fourth album, The R.E.D. Album (2011), Game made a return to Interscope Records. His song “Hate It or Love It” was nominated for two Grammy Awards, including Grammy Award for Best Rap Performance by a Duo or Group and Grammy Award for Best Rap Song.
