Braxton married her first spouse, record producer Darrell Allamby, in 2001. They met and collaborated on her new album. In 2003, they divorced.

Tamar began dating Vincent Herbert, a music executive, the same year. The pair met through Toni Braxton, her older sister. Tamar and Vincent exchanged wedding vows in late November 2008. Logan Vincent Herbert, their kid, was born in 2013. Tamar and Vincent finalized their divorce in July 2019.

Tamar’s elder sister Toni Braxton was found in 1991 at a gas station by a music producer, who introduced the sisters to two major producers, L.A. Reid and “Babyface” Edmonds.
